Girls room Juliette

When you move to a new home, creating a familiar and safe nursery is extra important. Vincent and Stacy lived in New York for a while, together with their daughter Juliette. When they returned to the Netherlands, the search for a nice new home began, preferably in the big city again. A beautiful dream house came their way, in the middle of Amsterdam. With the Vondelpark within walking distance and cozy cafes around the corner. The beautiful ground floor apartment had been completely renovated, with a very nice room for Juliette in the basement. I was allowed to get started with an XL Advice for her new girls' room!

Pink girls bedroom

Juliette's new room is located in the basement of the Amsterdam home and already has a fresh base at the start of the advice. All walls are painted white and the space has a beautiful PVC herringbone floor. The square room also has a narrow hallway towards a small terrace.

I always start a nursery advice by making a mood board. This way I can visualize my ideas for color and atmosphere, an important starting point for the design.

The base of Juliette's new room was to be warm and cozy. We chose a beautiful soft pink color for all the walls and one wall will be wallpapered with the wallpaper Bloemenzee Mini in the color Nude by Bibelotte. Juliette's bed will be placed against the wall with the wallpaper, a growing bed by Oliver Furniture. If the toddler bed becomes too small for her, this bed can be extended into a single bed. With a beautiful canopy, new bedding and the fun balloon lights by Studio Vraco, this has become a very nice place to sleep.

Decorating a small children's room

Because Juliette's bedroom is small, storage space is extra important. Instead of a large wardrobe, we opted for a dresser (which can later be used as a chest of drawers) and a clothes rack. You might expect a clothes rack to look very messy in a small room, but I think it looks very cozy here. Juliette can hang all her beautiful dresses on this rack and they are so nice to look at!

Extra storage space is also found in the play and storage furniture from Bibelotte. Juliette can pull the handy box on wheels from under the furniture herself and offers plenty of space for her toys. The oak shelf on white shelf supports provides some extra space for styling, beautiful toys and personal items.
