Boys room Duke
When you're almost four years old (and therefore super cool), it's naturally time for a new toddler room! In the attic of Arjanne and Stijn's new house, there's a beautiful space available, divided into two spacious, high-ceilinged rooms. They're for their two children, James and Duke, because how much fun is it to share an attic with your little brother? The boys are now old enough for a sleeping space in the attic, and for Tuk Makeover, Arjanne and I were asked to design two beautiful rooms. Arjanne never expected Duke to choose wallpaper with pears, but what a great choice! Every night before bed, he imagines himself nibbling a pear off the wallpaper :) Welcome to Duke's beautiful toddler room!

An atmospheric boy's room
A few years ago, Stijn and Arjanne found their current home in a child-friendly new neighborhood in the charming town of Huissen. With a green view, a playground on their doorstep, the primary school within walking distance, and Arnhem's city center nearby, the family has found a wonderful place. With the arrival of their first child, James, they traded their beautiful old townhouse in Arnhem for this new home, with more space and a garden. It turned out to be a perfect fit for James (now 5) and his little brother Duke (3).
Peetjes wallpaper
To give Duke a say in his own room, we let him choose from three wallpaper options. Arjanne: "He immediately chose the pear wallpaper. I never expected it, but he said himself, 'That's so cute, Mom.' And what a good choice he made, because this wallpaper looks so beautiful in the room. Before he goes to sleep, Duke imaginarily picks up a pear from the wall and eats it."
An attractive toddler room for sleeping and playing
One of Duke's favorite spots in his new room is the Clover Living play table. "He has a blast playing with his magnets on the magnetic backing. He also loves taking his books from Toddie's new bookshelf and browsing through them on his bed or on the Shappy bench. We also enjoy displaying different books on the shelf. It's wonderful to be able to read a book to him in his own room in the evenings!"
Not only Duke, but Arjanne is also thrilled with the room: "I especially love the color combinations on Duke. It's become a very atmospheric room. The Tuk Makeover has been a complete success for us."
